All you need are some impressive cliffs, crystal clear (cold) waters, the color green, and an amazing calm. This natural calm is only disturbed by the commands of our guide – the ones you listen to in order to get energized and become one with the river’s flow; “all forward,” “all back,” “all in” – and here you are fumbling with your paddle. I am telling you, this is so incredible.
Our ride ends where Lousios river meets river Alfeios, before the bridge of Koukos. You pick up your boat, you hear the water splattering in your shoes, but without losing your back-to-nature mood, you keep going, trekking in the river. And even though your teeth are clattering and you are getting soaked to the bone, the gorgeous route is so gorgeous that you don’t want it to end.
And just when you’re thinking that you cannot possibly survive the cold (it was not that bad really), you come across this waterfall, and you become one with the team, outside the boat as well.
