The yummy Foodhops from around the world became, over time, our guilty pleasure.
I mean, who doesn't love good food? - Especially when it comes with amazing trips and endless strolling? Well, everyone does. That is the reason why I chose to list my top 10 restaurants in this post. 10 restaurants I actually visited and enjoyed and didn't just Google to find.
To prove that, I came bearing evidence; all my Instagram photos and check in's from each one of the restaurants mentioned below. And of course, to make things even better, every Foodhop will be linked to a post to help you further explore the city where each reastaurant is located - just so you can get a virtual taste of both the delicacies and the destination.
My 10 super fave restaurants from all around the world!
1. Bejing - Made in China Restaurant
You got countless options for street food in Beijing and a walk by the food market will convince you of that. But if you want to taste Pecking Duck prepared and served following the traditional Chinese ritual - like I did - then Made in China is the place to be. It is located at the ground floor of the Hyatt Hotel in the centre of Beijing.
Just make a reservation 24 hours ahead and... it's a date; your duck will be freshly served and waiting for you. Fondue and tea, also made the traditional way, will follow your dinner.
So, now join me around Beijing, at the Hutongs and the Forbidden City.

2. Frankfurt - Paulaner
Let me just confess that Frankfurt and I never quite fell for each other. Nevertheless, if there's a reason I reminisce my strolls around the city's airport, that may well be the Paulaner Restaurant and its delicious Carrot & Ginger soup. It tastes great combined with curry, chicken skewer and at least three slices of freshly-baked bread. You'll find it in Frankfurt's airport at Squaire City.
You'll find everything you need to know about the delicious Carrot & Ginger Soup here - it's definitely a YES!

3. London - Kerbisher & Malt
Lots and lots of spots for Fish and Chips around London. Wanna know my favorite? It's Kerbisher & Malt at Shepherd's Bush - a few stops away from the city centre. You'll taste delicious fish, amazing sauces and most of all - it's squeaky clean. I definitely pay a visit to it if I'm in the mood for fish & chips. It's a restaurant a Londoner suggested I visited and I think that's the reason I loved it so much.
So, here are my 5 fave spots in London. Or would you rather spend some time getting to know the city a little more?

4. Tokyo - Arisugawa Sushi
Right there, at the Arisugawa Sushi in Tokyo, I had the chance to learn everything there is about sushi; how it's prepared, served and the proper way to taste it. The sushi chef prepares everything right before you - for your eyes only. The greatest thing was knowing everything about the history, serving manner and suggestions on how I should taste it. And, he even let me lend his sushi knives - talk to me about making great friends!
Tokyo isn't all about sushi though.
Join me while I show you around Shibuya and its famous nightlife, as well as learning the Japanese traditions in Asakusa.

5. Paris - Ralph Lauren Cafe
I love visiting this place - I just love it. I've been there 3 times - all 3 while being on a business trip and each one of them, alone. No, it's not like a thing. I just enjoy spending some time by myself there - it features a lovely garden too where you have the chance to enjoy your coffe or beverage. Incredible Grilled Salmon and Sauvignon Blanc - great combination.
It was right there, at this very garden where I wrote my first carte postale from Paris.
You know everything about Maryhop's Carte Postale Project, right? It's everywhere on my Social Media Channels!

6. Istanbul - Canim Cigerim
It literally means: My liver, my soul in English. Lost somewhere between the Beyoglou alleys, downtown Istanbul, Canim Cigerim makes the most delicious do-it-yourself souvlaki you'll ever taste. Every ingredient you pick comes in separate dishes in order to wrap your very own souvlaki and enjoy the process.
But let me tell you a secret. In Istanbul I equally love visiting the Hala Manti Restaurant where I can find various traditional pies. Besides food, which is delicious, I got a list of 7 things NOT to do in Istanbul - based on experience of course.

7. Milan - Maio Restaurant, La Rinescente
While Milan is too "industrial" for my taste, I always enjoy a stroll downtown. I love taking my coffe at the Gucci Cafe (well, between us, I would enjoy it whatever its name was - it's not a Gucci thing) because it is lcated next to Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II - northern of Piaza Duomo.
I then climb up at the top of La Rinescente, to enjoy both the view and a great meal at the Maio Restaurant.

8. Nashville, Tenessee - The Southern Steak & Oyster
Nashville; the heart of music, the center of music industry, the soul of songwriting and something more; the city of awesome steaks. Someone who'd known me better, would say that I would rather choose oysters over steaks. But I didn't. I dared to take a steak and I didn't regret it at all!
9. Zurich - Zeughauskeller Restaurant
My most favorite spot in town and the reason why I always break each and every diet. There is absolutely no chance I would miss the opportunity to visit this spot and taste its yummy Schnitzel. I take a sit outside, gazing over Bahnofstrasse when the weather allows it. What about dessert? A visit at my favorite Sprungli is a must!
A stroll after dessert is mandatory. Come on, I got an amazing Photohop of Zurich to show you.

10. Budapest - Kurtosalacs
When in Budapest, you should definitely try this street food delicacy - I bet you'll never forget it. There are various flavors to choose from: I chose the cinnamon one as it is my absolute favorite. A little tip here: as prices vary from kiosk to kiosk, choose the ones you can find in the little alleys of the city. They're not only more traditional, they're more inexpensive too. It may not be a restaurant but it's a reason to love this city even more.

Of course, this could be an endless list.
If you follow me on Social Media, you definitely know how much I love showing you around as well as sharing my most delicious Foodhops with you. So, there are gonna be many lists to come. I even got one planned in my mind as we speak: Madrid, Krakow, New York, Sao Paulo... Stay tuned!
