Any invitations with a Hotel Grande Bretagne location at footer, instantly gets a big YES. However, this invitation was something above and beyond fantastic. I have been invited to attend a pastry workshop under the guidance of the award winning Parisian Patissier Chocolatier Arnaud Larher aka "The Star of Monmartre", who signs the sweet menu of the hotel.
Making pastries was always my ardent desire, I guess because it involves attention to detail and quantity accuracy, factors that lead to a sweet sense of fulfillment post-making a dessert. Oral and written instructions were absolutely needed, at least for me that I am still miles away from improving my pastry skills.
This #instameet was a workshop in which we participated 12 bloggers, journalists and influencers from different fields and with different target groups - a detail that made it even more interesting. The welcome chocolate was an Arnaud's masterpiece and I am quite sure I haven't tasted anything that WOW in a porcelain cup until now. Somehow it seemed that an awesome pastry experience will follow!
Paris-Brest was the dessert we had to prepare and divided into groups we started the delicious workshop. If you love the praline and the delicious french pastries, you are going to be thrilled by scrolling down!

Paris-Brest is a sweet inspired by the bike race of the 50s with route Paris-Brest-Paris, since the shape of the (wheel) looks like a bicycle wheel. The flavor is inspired by the paradise of hazelnut and the praline-wonderland - and here I challenge you to taste it at Hotel Grande Bretagne and thank me later!
