Mermaids exist.
In Copenhagen, you will find the smallest one. She is petite, melancholic, and bronze.
You will need a pair of comfortable shoes and some patience in order to meet her, for you will have to wander for quite some time around the city, through cobblestone streets full of restaurants and pubs, over bridges, and past small lakes. But suddenly you will see her - standing there on her rock, waiting for you.
The truth is, this bronze mermaid is not what you expect to see. One could say that it’s too much fuss about nothing, since we are talking about just a small statue on a rock. Nonetheless, I don't regret having wandered for so long to see her, because, at the end of the day, I enjoyed an amazing walk with a cool Danish breeze caressing my face.
One piece of advice, though: don’t take a taxi to visit the mermaid. Use your feet instead.
