It's been almost a year since I took a huge step in my career and moved to my very own office. It is a lovely place right at the heart of Athens with a wonderful view towards Imittos mountain, right next to Lykavitos hill of Athens. It was love at first sight and without a second thought, I decided it was going to be mine.
It was the ideal space to host my Career Development Center, The Vip Excellence.
Soon, it became a meeting point for every girl dreaming of a career in aviation, a place where I consult both existing and potential Vip flight attendants on a daily basis. It is also Maryhop's base and the base of all of my professional activities.
Before finding this particular place, I had already seen more than 10 offices but I kept going since I was determined to find the perfect one tο house my newly-founded business and, ultimately, my dreams. Apart from being lucky on that matter, I had to work extremely hard to achieve the result I so proudly present you here today.
I was a firm supporter of the opinion saying that the strongest card a business holds is its office space. It is the face of the company to the world. It is what inspires guests, customers and prosper clients to feel like being at the right hands - the most experienced, professional, specialized hands. A great office is, at the same time, a productivity boost to the owner as it offers a calming sense that works miracles.
I can definitely assure you that I, myself feel like the luckiest girl on earth every time I enter my office in the morning.
WELCOME TO MY OFFICE!
THE CRISP WHITE I LOVE
The first thing I did when getting in my new office was to re-paint the walls, making them all-white. Only exception was a single wall I painted in the characteristic blue of aviation. I also invested into purchasing crisp white furniture since it is an exceptionally chic colour.
First impressions do matter and when in an office a guest's first impression is of the reception hall - after all, everyone knows that you don't get a second chance in making a great first impression.
I wished for the first welcome to be one-of-a-kind, oozing with elegance and unique character. The large vintage propel decorating the wall across the main door is probably the tradermark of the office.
I am a huge fan of wall art galleries - walls covered in minimal frames, all following a certain theme. Whether it is your living room or office, wall art galleries can transform your space so I chose two of my office's walls to be decorated in such way.
My personal choice was of a few inspiring pictures which uplift me daily; from the luxurious pink diamond and my favorite flamingo to the golden world map and my initial as well as the ''Inspire'' motto.
I love that Minimal Scandinavian Design.
The main hall features another gallery wall with the same aviation-inspired theme. A collection of the best flight attendant uniforms over the years is on display on that wall for all aspiring flight attendants to be inspired.
Right underneath that, I have strategically placed my personal collection of luxury aviation magazines from some of the finest vip lounges from airports all around the world.
It is such an incredible inspiration to look through the pages of the magazines and the pictures on the wall – every girl that has ever been to the office did so, anxiously waiting for her career in aviation to begin!
FLOWERS, LOTS OF FLOWERS
Almost every corner in the office is decorated with bouquets of my favorite flower: Lilium Oriental.
The energy I get from the flowers and plants decorating the office is magical; it is a soothing, comforting sense to take care of them on a daily basis while adding a harmonious vibe to the general office atmosphere.
Flowers and plants should be a part of the decoration for every office.
As much as I love the Aviation Wall at the main room of the office, I can't help but express my huge love for these specific corners inside my office. Two shelves decorated minimally with nothing but a few objects I chose.
The shelves feature a chic globe I bought in New York, two of my favorite flight attendant uniforms, one of which featuring the all-time classic Balenciaga uniform (top shelf), the mint clip notepad "Do What You Love" I so much love, some of my favorite books and the award I won at the Marie Claire Blog Awards 2016 for the best Travel Blog.
Classy, full of fresh flowers and pampering hand towels the office bathroom is a place I love to take care of everyday. Not just for the sake of the guests but mainly because I love taking care of small details – they are what makes a place unique.
And of course, being Kind is Classy.
