Truth is that a lot of people will be sharing with you their career tips. Whether that is a professional or simply a person who loves and cares for you and your well-being. How is it to get Career Tips from someone who had the same dream as you and finally made it happen?
Since I was a little girl, I dreamt of creating something of my own – something I'll be working on every single day, leading it to success step-by-step. By having my own business through which I'm running this blog, as well as having The Vip Excellence Career Center, I have experienced the New Business from scratch – and I can assure you that from the all-new Business category I will be helping you chase and build the career of your dreams.
Experience isn't as required as your will to work. To work a lot on what you love, be patient, persistent and willing to learn. You may have studied to be a geologist but your true passion imight be interior design – it doesn't matter. Invest on something you really love.
Let's be honest. We all come up with hundreds of ideas during the course of our lives. Most of the times though, an idea isn't as simple to realise as you'd thought. Should you have one, devote yourself to it, study it, check whether it is realistic to make it happen and then work your way towards realising it. You may have found what it is that you really love (Step 1) but a thousand more ideas will come from it. Find the one that really excites you and Go for it!
To measure one's strength inside the business is one thing – to actually know the market is another. You'll have to study the market and the competition, spend some time getting to know the field of your expertise and then, move on with your idea
4. FIND YOUR OWN SUPERHEROES
You may be starting off alone but you shouldn't be lonely. The right partners will prove valuable, business insiders are great to trust and project management is essential. No need to try doing everything by yourself. Of course you can do it but the New Business requires -besides having an economic plan - to have the right legal coverage. Two very essential terms that – guess what – you'll have to add to your budget.
5. STICK TO THE PLAN
A difficult task to fully accomplish, so I'd suggest you to start organizing your daily schedule properly. Make a solid plan of your time and upcoming projects and try sticking to it. It is only natural that through an idea, a thousand more will come up. Stay focused to your original plan and goal – do not let any distractions get in your way.
Dreams DO come true! @thevipexcellence
6. THINK BUSINESS - ACT BUSINESS
If you run a home-based business it will seem a bit difficult to follow that tip. Think Business means that you will not only have to think like a girlboss, but also start moving inside a business environment. If you're super-productive while sitting on your apartment's couch, then your productivity will triple when working in a business environment. Tested and checked.
To run your own business you'll have to cut all the unnecessary expenses – so yo ucan forget buying that bag you dreamt about for so long. If you're on the hunt to find your own space, take a deep breath and think only business – meaning desks, chairs, office supplies etc. You'll have to replace your pumps with a new desk, bags with a laptop and that expensive pair of glasses with a projector – and the list goes on.
7. DRESS LIKE A SUCCESSFUL LADY
Looks do matter. As your business status changes, so will your appearance. You'll have to adjust your appearance, the way you move and present yourself to the new status. Make sure to present yourself as the succesfull #girlboss you really are.
It is scientifically proven – to say the least – that the amount of people that will support your new move will be smaller than that of the people who will try to bring you down by pointing out all the difficulties, sacrifices and risks you'll be taking. Be prepared for several amounts of negativity. Do not let it get you down – use it as a fuel to get out there stronger and wiser.
During the course of my personal career, I always believed that being good to others will only come back to me in the best way possible. You're not the only one who has dreams, who goes over difficult times, who experiences more dissapointments rather than successes – nor the only one who doesn't know where to start from. I went through all of the above, I dealed with them and overcame them, only to achieve my goals, showing my best self to those supporting me and my even better self to those who predicted my failure.
10. TAKE THE RISK
The biggest satisfaction you'll ever feel will be the moment you'll start seeing your dream coming to life – whether that means finding your own space, start seeing results or even your first profit. It might seem like the least ideal time for a New Business but what you'll have to do is evaluate your dreams, weigh the possibilities and find the right time to say: I WANT TO BE A #GIRLBOSS!
Good Luck Girls!
